Enter To Win Tickets To Pickwick!
Seattle R&B/pop band Pickwick got really big really fast with the release of their debut full-length, Can't Talk Medicine. They played all the big festivals, went on tour with the likes of Neko Case and Black Joe Lewis, and everything looked awesome. But then, things got quiet, and the murmuring began..."What happened to Pickwick?" According to their bio, the band had about 40 songs to pick from for their sophomore album (uh-oh, the S word), when "they became deeply unsatisified with the direction the music was taking." One member left the band, and they walked away from the "mountain of songs," they amassed and started over. They recruited Erik Blood (Shabazz Palaces, Tacocat) to produce, and eventually came up with the deeply groovy Lovejoys, which drops on July 7th! Pickwick is previewing the new album with a show at Neumos on June 10th (and a free in-store at Easy Street on 7/1). Enter to win tickets to the all-ages Neumos show by e-mailing us with the subject line "Lovejoys" and please include first & last name with entry. We'll draw a winner on 6/9. Good luck!
