Shine

Before I give my two cents let me go ahead and admit where I am coming from.

I liked Floetry. I liked Sunshine Anderson. I liked Res. I love Amy Winehouse.  Do what you will with that information. I enjoy that sista girl music with relatable lyrics and solid beats. Not too
cool and overly complicated. Just lovely and deep. Estelle Swaray’s sophomore release ‘Shine’ delivers just that much and more. The first release from John Legend’s Homeschool Records gives us something to smile and nod with, someone who is signing your life with their words…and we love John Legend, we trust John Legend.

X’s and O’s on “No Substitute Love”, “More Than Friends”, and “American Boy” featuring Kanye West. Estelle will also be performing at this year’s Bumbershoot Festival on August 30th. Reason enough to fight the crowds for one more year.
