The Soundtrack

by Kisha Guyton

To the dismay of my homies and my boo…I went and saw The Wackness in theaters all by myself. I was just wanting to go to the movies and had heard and read enough good things about the film that I just went on the fly. I loved it. The class of '94’s soundtrack with a then unknown Notorious BIG's “The What” and Faith Evans' “You Used To Love Me.” Hip-hop standards with Tribe Called Quest and agreeable favorites on R. Kelly’s “Bump and Grind” make this soundtrack a nostalgic journey. Summer jobs, summer crushes, and the 40 oz.

X’s and O’s on Total's “Can’t You See” and The Pioneers' “Long Shot Kick DeBucket.”
