Yesterday we told you about all of the amazing exclusive titles we will be offering on Record Store Day (April 18). We also have some very exciting events and in-stores happening to celebrate this special day! Record Store Day Events & Performances

10 am - "Coffee With Dylan" - Both Stores

We'll be serving up yummy breakfasts at our cafe in West Seattle and hot coffee and doughnuts at the Queen Anne store for our "Coffee With Dylan" listening party. While Bob himself is unlikely to make it, at 10 am both stores will spin the upcoming new Dylan CD, Together Through Life. And to make it even more delicious, we will be giving away a supercool Dylan litho to all who pre-order the CD from us during the event -- while supplies last.

3 pm - Dex Romweber Duo - Queen Anne Store

Time to get busy with the rockabilly/blues/surf/garage mix of Bloodshot artists the Dex Romweber Duo. Dex is the front man for Athens legends the Flat Duo Jets, who famously appeared along with R.E.M. and the B-52s in the 1987 film Athens GA Inside Out. The other half of the duo is Dex's sister Sara, who used to be in the '80s indie band Let's Active. The new Dex Romweber Duo album is called Ruins of Berlin and features duets with Exene Cervenka, Neko Case, Cat Power.

5 pm - Special Guests - Queen Anne Store

We cannot reveal the identity of this very special guest until Friday, so watch this space for a special announcement! But we can offer a couple of clues.... 

Clue #1 : They have something in common with John Lennon...sorta.

Clue #2: You may feel the urge to howl when they take the stage.

7:30 pm - Sweet Water - Queen Anne Store

Prepare to be RAWKED by longtime Seattle rawkers Sweet Water, who recently announced they were back via their killer new album, Clear the Tarmac. In the wise words of a fan, "those guys got robbed...if any Seattle band was gonna make it in the '90s, it shoulda been Sweet Water." See for yourself!

9:30 pm - Wolves In the Throne Room - West Seattle Store

When darkness falls, head over to our West Seattle store and catch a blazing "After Hours" in-store by Southern Lord recording artists Wolves in the Throne Room, whose conceptual, ambient black metal will surely provide a fiery finale to Record Store Day!
